Ideas and Domain Names
I was reading the Affiliates 4U forum today as I do every day and I saw someone posting that they had a site all ready and go for the new Sony PSP. This triggered a distant memory and after looking in my web hosting account I discovered that I registered the domain PSPshop.co.uk in May of 2003!! This was when the PSP was first announced and I immediately thought about registering a domain on the theme so I could capitalise on the inevitable massive trend. Well here we are almost 2 years later and guess what? I still haven’t built a site on the domain! The PSP is about to be launched and I’m going to miss the boat. File this under “good idea at the time” along with another 150 domains that I have never built sites on!
Speaking of domains, Russell Beattie has an excellent entry in his blog today when he talks about some cyber squatters who registered misspellings of his name as domains. I just love his gut reaction!!
