Not a good day

Well I don’t often get them but today was officially a “bad” day.

It started off with a trip to the accountant where they gave me good news and bad news. The good news was that “you are doing very well Mr. Donoghue”. The bad news was that they have finally completed my last yearend accounts as a sole trader (before I went Limited in December 2004) and I owe the tax man an additional £60k. This is on top of the “forward estimate” that I have already shelled out from my time as a sole trader, which was no small amount.

Then one of the agencies I work with in London call me to tell me that I have already achieved their sales targets for April, and therefore spent their budget. So that means I have to stop the campaign until May when new budgets are released. Real shame as it earns good money.

Finally another merchant I promote emailed me to tell me they are pulling their program immediately and I will have to remove all my links as no more sales will be honored after today.

So all in all, not the best of days. However tomorrow is a different day and I am sure new opportunities will come along. Right now I’m off to watch Desperate Housewives and not to think about work!
