Plasma.co.uk

I had a very legal looking document arrive in the post today saying “I am pleased to accept your offer of £7,600 for the internet domain plasma.co.uk”

At first I thought it was some sort of scam and was preparing to throw it in the shredder. But then I remembered a good few weeks ago that I did in fact bid on the domain in an online auction. Lucky for me I guess I won.

So I guess that means that I need to start developing a site based around the wonderful world of plasma screen TV’s. There is no doubt that this is a huge market but do I really have the time and resources to research and develop and not forgetting maintain a new site? I guess I’ll have to really as I don’t want to throw money down the drain. Oh well, here we go with another new project! And maybe a lesson learned, not to be so frivolous when it comes to buying domains as I already have another 150 I need to develop.

What I’m listening to right now: Mica Paris - “So Good” (old school!!)

Hi Kieron,

Hope you haven’t paid yet, as the domain says it’s ***SUSPENDED*** on the whois!

Wanted to check you don’t get burnt by someone dodgy. Surely a legit domain owner would have paid the £3.50 to keep the registration going?

Cheers,

Chris

It’s OK the domain name is from a company that is now dissolved. Take a look at http://www.bonavacantia.gov.uk and you will see what I mean.

Cheers!

Kieron
