Google AdWords optimisation

I had a call from my Google AdWords account manager yesterday asking me if I would like my campaigns optimised by a dedicated Google AdWords Optimiser. In my 4 years or so of advertising with Google this is the first time they have offered this sort of service. When I asked why she told me that they have recently increased their staff levels and that a dedicated optimisation team had been set up to meet clients needs. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I’m spending a good 6 figures every month with them too?

Anyway, I had to fill in a questionnaire asking what my goals where (easy, pay less money and get more clicks, lol). I then had a telephone conversation with the optimiser and hopefully next week I’ll have some ideas of what they can do for me. Basically they told me that when I log into my AdWords account I will have a “dummy” account set up with the recommendations from the optimiser. I can then view my dummy account and see what elements and suggestions I want to transfer over to my live account. It all sounded very impressive and the optimiser had lots of really cool ideas which will hopefully help with my ROI. Should be interesting, I’ll keep you posted.
