Networking in London town (or not)
After the recent networking events in London it was very refreshing that one of the major affiliate networks based in London made the 300 mile or so trip to Sunderland for a meeting with me today. Of course I appreciate that London is the capital and where it is all going on, but I sometimes get tired of making the trip down there as it inevitably means I have to stay overnight to make the most of the trip and basically take 2 days away from the business. Then when you get back you need a day just to catch up with what you’ve missed and therefore you end up with a 2 day week!
Anyway, I haven’t been down to the big Smoke for a while but got reminded today that I agreed to participate in the e-consultancy affiliate marketing round table event on May 26th. I really like these events as it gives affiliates, networks and merchants an opportunity to get together and discuss the important matters of the moment. Not only that but also maybe shape affiliate relationships of the future and show how cost effective a route to market the affiliate channel can be. I’ll make sure to report back here after the event.
