Happy 2006
Hello and Happy New Year to everyone!
Let me just say that one of my resolutions is to update this blog more often (he says 15 days after his last post). I’ve been literally inundated with emails from both my regular readers asking if I could update more often. So who am I to deny them! Well that’s the plan at least.
I have to say that it has been a very HNY so far too. Traffic and sales have been similar to the second week of December when the Christmas rush was at it’s peak. Now January is always busy but never has it been as good as this. Not complaining though!
On a personal note….can you believe a traffic warden gave me a ticket for parking ever so slightly outside of a parking bay yesterday? Before anyone says “you deserve it”, it was one of the parking bays that you sometimes see on the outskirts of a car park. I.e. they line the edge of the car park in a row, so you have a car behind you and in front but none at either side. You know the ones I mean? Can I also mention that this was a quiet car park on the outskirts of Sunderland city centre at 5.45pm at night and the car park was about 20% full. And can I also mention that there were no cars behind me or in front of me? And what about the fact that I was only about 3 inches over the line on the passengers side? So I wasn’t actually encroaching in another parking space as it was just a road. Cars could have parked behind me or in front of me with ease. I mean come on!! Bloody jobsworth. Rant over.
