All the modifications (to make it UK friendly) have been made and the RAC Tracker has been fitted so hopefully by tomorrow afternoon I'll be taking it out for its maiden voyage.
To Andrew who asked what the major changes are in the 2007 model, here's a brief list:
Complete redesign: Not just a "facelift", Cadillac have started again from the bottom up. The bulging wheel arches and 90 degree angles are out and much sleeker, smoother styling is in whilst still managing to retain it's huge presence and impact when you see it on the road. Its been blinged up too and is dripping with chrome accents and highlights all over. I've upgraded to the factory fitted 22" chrome wheels too - Kapow!
Engine: The old Escalade had a 6 Litre 345 bhp engine and used to go like the proverbial **** off a shovel. The new model now has a new 6.2 Litre all-aluminium V8 engine that now delivers 403 bhp and 417 lb-ft or torque. I can't wait to test it out against BMW X5 drivers :-) Did I mention that it is more powerful and does 0 to 60 mph faster than the Porsche Cayenne S, BMW X5 Sport, Range Rover Sport Supercharged, Range Rover Supercharged and the Mercedes M-Class?
Interior: Brand new interior finished in leather with just about every gadget imaginable including heated steering wheel, Bose 5.1 surround system, DVD player with flip down screen, reversing camera and tons more. The Americans do like their luxury.
That's about it in a nutshell, don't think I'll sleep tonight!
What I'm listening to right now: My very own "new car" compilation burned onto CD and ready to play in the Escalade tomorrow. Here's the tracklisting:

Cadillac Escalade

Kieron
What can you say to all that apart from WOW. I thought my trusty Mondeo V6 Estate had a reasonable amount of toys but a heated steering wheel! If it’s a black one it will look simply amazing I’m sure.
Go get them BMW’s, Mercs, Range Rovers and all those other little 4×4′s.
Be sure to post a whole load of pics!
How much do you pay for petrol in the UK? Sounds like this new Escalade of yours is using a lot of fuel?!
If you can afford to run this in the UK can you share your wealth with the rest of us
What are you doing with your old one?
The old Escalade was sold some time ago – so am very keen to get back into my new one!
What have you been driving since selling then old Escalade then?
Nice one Kieron – have fun!
