Happy Valentines Day

So…did you all get cards, flowers, chocolates etc? I hope so as yesterday was my biggest day of the year for flower sales. Remarkable really given that it seems a *lot* of people left it until last minute. Which is a good thing really, as last minute deliveries are more expensive so that means more commission for us. :)

So do I have a point to make?

Yes. If you are running ppc ads for events like Valentines Day then don’t switch them off the day before as you think the last delivery dates have been reached. This year I saw a few programs promising next day delivery up to 5pm. So plenty of opportunity for last minute sales, and believe me there were lots!

What I’m listening to right now (and loving): Missy Elliott Vs The Cure - “Get Ur Freak On” from this album!

Not all merchants pay commission on delivery, so surprised to hear the flower market would be any different. So without giving away your secrets can you still spill the beans on who the flower merchants are that pay commission on delivery?

By the way you make a worth while point about keeping campaigns running to the last moment, it would be easier if Merchants told you last shipping days for key events, this I struggle to get from Merchants even as a Network and I know what’s like as an Affiliate most (but not all) of the time.

I saw the opposite. I kept my campaign running until lunchtime on the 13th and didn’t get a single sale that day. The two previous days were great though.
