StomperNet present John Reese with a £65,000 BMW M5

Take a look at this video of super affiliate John Reese being presented with the keys to a brand new BMW M5 from StomperNet.
For anyone who doesn’t know John Reese is a well respected Internet “Guru” (hate the word but it fits) who is behind Income.com and various other successful web ventures. I’ve heard good things about him and the articles that I have read of his are informative and contain really useful and no-nonsense information. So another reason to watch the video is for John’s presentation, its based on his philosophy to “always do more than is expected of you” which is sound advice and something I have done for years. The video is also worth watching for the “twist” that happens at the end.
NB, there is some debate on whether the last bit was staged or not but a lot of people I know and trust say it isn’t and I tend to believe them. Even if it was though, it almost doesn’t matter as it has achieved its goal, as a lot of people are now talking about it.
Anyway, I blogged about this kind of thing almost a year ago and am surprised that still nobody in the UK has done this kind of thing. Sure there have been holidays and stuff but can you imagine going to the A4U Expo in October and being handed the keys to a £65,000 car? I mean how amazing would that be? Have you seen the reaction of the crowd in the video clip? They are giving the guy a standing ovation.
I seriously think this would give the industry such a buzz and portray the donor in such a positive light that it would be worth its weight in gold. I mean imagine the press you could spin from doing something as cool as giving away a performance car? And I don’t mean giving it to the winner of a 6 month competition, I mean just giving it to one of your top affiliates. Just like that, unannounced. Just as a thankyou for your hard work. After all we are all salespeople who work on a commission only basis aren’t we? Come on, wouldn’t that just rock your world? And wouldn’t you want to work with that affiliate network in future? Just in case another car came up? I know I would!

Welcome to my blog. My name is Kieron Donoghue and I am the founder of ShareMyPlaylists.com, ContentNow.co.uk and some other businesses. I thought it would be fun to blog, writing about my experiences in Internet Marketing. I'll include some personal stuff too, probably about my other passions, music and cars. Please feel free to post your comments and thoughts too.

I watched it last night. Thought it was great. On another note, I’m really diggin the new blog skin. I hated the old one you had. This is so much easier to deal with.
Thanks, what did you think about the twist at the end of the video?
Definitely agree with you Kieron.
When I was at CAC a few years back there was a similar thing, but it was a case of Euros (I think it was 50,000) and had been a year long promo.
I’m not sure we’ll see it in October but I have a funny feeling that we will see a massive promo at some point in the neat future - I think it has to come at network level though (with merchants contributing towards it).
Viral marketing at it’s best.
They got you to not only post about it, but link to it too. It was clearly set up ahead of time. I even doubt the “winner” actually got to keep the car, he was about as excited as a guy who just found out his dog died!
Yep, the twist definitely surprised me. I didn’t think he would be that generous.
