British Formula 1 Grand Prix - Lewis Hamilton - Niche tip
With the British Formula 1 Grand Prix taking place at Silverstone next Sunday 8th July and the huge success of Lewis Hamilton this year its probable that there will be a big increase in popularity and the demand for Fi and Lewis Hamilton/McLaren Mercedes related merchandise. Especially in the lead up to the Silverstone race this week, and expect it to peak when the F1 season ends on October 21st.
Lewis Hamilton is already tipped as “the next Tiger Woods” and is probably one of the worlds biggest up and coming sportsmen right now. If he takes the Formula 1 World Championship in October then I predict his name will be one of the most searched for terms on the web, globally.
So how can we capitalise on this as affiliates? Well there is AuctionAds for one, where we can show ads related to keywords such as “Lewis Hamilton” on our sites. Or there is the excellent Grand Prix Legends site that has some great Formula 1 and Lewis Hamilton merchandise available. They have an affiliate program on Webgains and Affiliate Window paying 10% commission.
There you go, my top tip for a niche to explore

Welcome to my blog. My name is Kieron Donoghue and I run UK Offer Media Ltd. I thought it would be fun to post a daily (well hopefully daily) blog, writing about my experiences in Internet Marketing and more specifically Affiliate Marketing. I'll include some personal stuff too, probably about my other passions, music and cars. Please feel free to post your comments and thoughts too.

When Googling ‘Lewis Hamilton’ i seem to get a lot of results back with the regular bio and race related info.
Say i am exploring Niches on a budget (experimental ppc campaign), what is the correct method to assess whether or not an area is really a worthwhile Niche. Is my method of Googling areas of interest just the tip of the iceberg?

To be honest I never even Googled Lewis Hamilton when I wrote this post. I wrote this post as I have gradually watched the buzz and hype about him build over the last few months. Also, with the F1 season underway now and the British GP next Sunday it just seemed the right time to capitalise. So for me, exploring niches is about looking at trends and whats popular and whats not. And hopefully catching the next “big one”. A prefect example is the Apple iPhone, I mean everyone knew it was going to be big but the press hype was/is unbelievable. So for me its not about the search results on Google its about whats hot.
