Highlet teaser campaign reveal. I’m disappointed
Well it has now been “revealed” that the Highlet viral campaign I blogged about it is actually to promote Capgemini.
Capgemini are a company that specialise in….erm…..well I have no idea actually. I looked at the landing page (below) but the boring blue corporate looking screen instantly made my eyes glaze over and sleep soon followed. Where does it say that if you are a blue chip corporate company then you must have a very dull blue website btw? I’ve seen so many boring corporate websites that I have to wonder what happened to their creativeness?

Anyway, suffice to say that although my curiosity was piqued (word of the day) by the Highlet teaser campaign, the end product was very disappointing. You could do better guys!

Welcome to my blog. My name is Kieron Donoghue and I run UK Offer Media Ltd. I thought it would be fun to post a daily (well hopefully daily) blog, writing about my experiences in Internet Marketing and more specifically Affiliate Marketing. I'll include some personal stuff too, probably about my other passions, music and cars. Please feel free to post your comments and thoughts too.

Ha Ha - thats funny… back in the day I designed a brochure and newsletter (print) for CapGemini and in the meeting I asked their guy the question, “What exactly do you do?” - he couldn’t give me a straight answer then - so its obviously filtered through to the website design

their slogan sounds like the mastercard slogan. “but for everything else there is mastercard”

It is often the case that dull brands employ engaging marketing - nothing else is going to drive traffic to their site!

Oh well, the logic in the upper corporate ranks goes as follows: if you do not stand out of the crowd, there is little you can do wrong. But in my opinion all these websites filled with corporate consultancy speak add to the noise rather than the signal. By the way, CapGemini is mainly doing IT consulting.
