Looks great and very novel but it needs a 5 mp camera and 3g functionality before I’ll touch it. Until then it looks like the N95 for me… Shame though cos it does look lovely

I had to chuckle Kieron… Was that a reference to ‘The Galleries’. That one has made my day!

I really like the interface of the iPhone but I won’t be jumping in until version 2. I simply cannot justify the cost of £900 for the term of the 12 month contract and phone cost when you could get a better phone in the LG Viewty for half the price on a 12 month contract with more minutes and texts.

If I want something I usually go get it but im just not getting that must have pull to it at present. Once a 3G version and some additionals have been added to it I can’t see me hesitating.

Great review though and good to see that the whole experience from start to finish has a bit of a premium feel to it. It certainly should for the cost.

It’s a decent phone. Pretty much exactly the same as my iPod Touch which I got for £170 duty free from the airport. Agree with some of the posters on here - without 3G the phone fails to meet my needs. Maybe if the next version features some of the improvements then I will take the plunge. The new Sony P5i looks like it will be an iPhone beater when it is released - I’ll stick with my cheaper iPod Touch and my 3G mini-phone.

I don’t know, i think i would prefer to have a seperate phone, the iphone is still a bit large to fit in a back pocket. I am going to opt for the iPod Touch and try to find the smallest lightest of all phones.

Hi mate, got mine on Saturday and am SOOO chuffed with it. Best bits, visual voicemail, internet browsing (which is perfectly acceptable on 2.5g - and blistering on wireless). Text message greatness and just my first new ipod for three generations.

Still I find Ver1 missing to many essentials for MY requirements but if it ticks all your boxes, then great. I must admit, the text conversation feature is VERY nice… and I have to admit is NOT just a pretty feature, but looks very useful too!

I did wonder what you were on about when you asked me to screen grab my txts….

I don’t like the idea of being tied to one network. If the iPhone was unlocked or was released on other networks, I would have been happier!
