Happy Black Friday! Roll on Cyber Monday

4

Yes folks today is Black Friday! Now most of you here in the UK probably don’t know what Black Friday is, so I’ll elaborate. Black Friday is the name given to the first Friday after Thanksgiving (yesterday) in the USA and marks the start of the traditional Christmas shopping season. So to celebrate many stores [...]

27

Much has been said about discount voucher code site myvouchercodes.co.uk. Look here and here to see what I mean. Anyway I won’t go into all of that stuff right now, I want to see if things improve first. However I do want to ask a question about ethics…
On the above mentioned site they list a [...]

HungryHouse.co.uk get £100k investment from Dragon’s Den

28

HungryHouse.co.uk secured an investment of £100,000 for their website on the BBC reality TV show Dragon’s Den this week.
Hungry House is basically a site whereby you can go to order your takeaway online. Much the same as you can with Dominos Pizza and Papa Johns (btw Papa Johns make the best pizzas in the world), but [...]

Toys R Us affiliate program now sucks even more

17

I didn’t think it could get any worse, but the Toys R Us affiliate program has as of today.
Not only do they have ridiculous “we haven’t got a clue” ppc rules but they also only offer 3% commission on sales. Most other toy retailers offer between 5% and 10%.
So…if those 2 reasons weren’t enough for you not [...]

Have I broke John Lewis’ affiliate terms and conditions?

13

I received this email from TradeDoubler the other day…
Dear Affiliate,
Waitrose Wine Direct are offering a whopping 25% off all orders placed until Tuesday 20th November.
Don’t forget Waitrose Wine Direct is part of the johnlewis.com affiliate programme, which makes it even easier to pick up a banner and promote this amazing deal.
Thanks
George
Cool, I thought. A great [...]

Ferrari 4×4/SUV coming in 2010?

15

This is what a 4×4 (or SUV as our American cousins would say) made by Ferrari could look like. I say could as its an artists interpretation. It is not, I repeat it is not an official image from Ferrari. However according to WorldCarFans, they have it from an “inside source” that Ferrari are serious [...]

Apple iPhone review and pictures

17

Well Apple sent Chris Moyles an iPhone on Friday but I wasn’t so lucky so had to go and buy one Friday night. Here’s my review and experiences…
At around 6.30pm on the day of launch, Friday 9th November I went to my local O2 store in Washington. Its situated in an out-of-town shopping centre that to be [...]

Carphone Warehouse reduce affiliates CPA by more than 50% for the Apple iPhone

19

Just as I predicted a few days ago, the Carphone Warehouse have announced (with 1 day until launch) that they are going to offer affiliates a lower CPA than standard for the Apple iPhone. Quite a lot lower as it happens, more than 50%.
The standard CPA for mobile phones on the Carphone Warehouse is between £45 [...]

Apple iPhone or Nokia N95? Which is best?

20

Reasons I think the Apple iPhone is cool:
1. Have you seen it? Sleek, simple, black and very sexy.
2. Slim: Only 11.6 mm thick compared to the chunky Nokia N95 at 21 mm thick.
3. Screen size: Not only does the iPhone have a 3.5 inch touchscreen compared to 2.6 inches on the N95 but the iPhone [...]
