Nadeem - I am in fact a provate patient but because of my Periodic Paralysis condition the surgeon wanted me to have the operation in an NHS hospital rather than a private one - as there is more backup. The NHS is a joke. Must be causing you a lot of stress. I sincerely hope this doesn't linger on much longer. Not sure what the health authorities are like in your area or if it applies to your circumstances, but they have a policy here that if they cancel your appointment three times, they get it done for your privately. Happened to me once and I had a whale of a time in the private hospital: my own room, mini-fridge next to my bed, satellite TV (not on the NHS in those days) etc. I’m genuinely sorry to hear that mate. Don’t get me wrong, coming from a medical family, I have huge respect and time for the health service, but in my experience, there seems to be very little appreciation for our time and although the first cancellation was based on your health and well being, yesterday could have been avoided if they had read your notes and sent you a pre operation check list 14 days prior to being admitted.

That’s my rant of the day but here’s hoping you get it sorted sometime soon.
