A4U Awards 2008 announced – Black Tie Event June 5th London

Last year saw the first ever A4U Awards as part of the A4U Expo in London. This year the awards have grown up, matured and now have their very own formal black tie evening ceremony at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel on June 5th. I have to say that I think that is a natural progression and the right thing to do as our industry is now big enough (£3 billion) to warrant its very own stand alone awards ceremony where we can all celebrate our industry and the innovators within it. The 14 award categories are as follows: Best Use of Creative Best Network Innovation Best Merchant Innovation Agency of the Year Publisher of the Year Best Use of AM as part of an Integrated Campaign Affiliates4u Award for Excellence Publishers’ Choice of Network Publishers’ Choice of Account Manager Plus awards for innovative Affiliate Marketing activity in the following vertical sectors: Finance Retail Gaming Travel & Leisure Technology & Telecoms One of the differences between this year and last year's awards ceremony is in the way in which the winners are decided. This year, all but 2 of the awards will be voted by a panel of judges made up of affiliates, merchants, agencies, directors and media owners. The 2 'Publishers Choice' awards that will be decided by Affiliates4u members are the 'Publishers Choice of Network' award and 'Publishers Choice of Account Manager' award. Prices for the event are as follows: Table of 10: £1,550 + VAT (£1,821.25) Individual Places: £165 + VAT (£193.87) However, I have been speaking to Matt (organiser) today and I am pleased to announce that there will be a discount available for individual affiliates who are members of the A4U forum coming soon. The discount will entitle affiliates only to buy a ticket at the reduced rate of only £95 + VAT, a saving of £70 over the standard price. I'll definitely be attending, so if anybody would be interested in joining me on a table of 10 then please let me know and I'll get one organised. Normally I only get "suited up" for church events but even I'm happy to break that tradition and get myself a tux for the evening. I'm very much looking forward to this event, I think it will be a great evening as well as a chance to network and really celebrate the long way the Affiliate Marketing industry has come over the last few years. I hope to see you all there and share the champagne and cocktails! Click here to visit the official A4U Awards site for further information. What I'm listening to right now: LKP - "I’m Ready"

  1. Ralph says:

Kieron, we are booking a table but may need extra seats for some of our clients, whats the best email address to get you on mate?

  2. Kieron says:

Hi Ralph, thanks, have just sent you an email.

  3. Joe Connor says:

Hi Kieron, it would be good to sit on a table of affiliates rather than randomly splattered across the event so if you have a spare place on your table I’d love to join you. I’m sure between us we could fund several affiliate tables.

  4. Kieron says:

Consider it done Joe, we have the Teesside massive (Elaine and co.) and a couple of others lined up too so should be a blast!
