Microsoft buys Yahoo! for a few quid but its much more fun spending £1.5 million in 1 day on supercars!

You’ve probably read today that Microsoft are looking to buy Yahoo! for 100,000,000 gajillion dollars. But we don’t want to hear about that as its been done to death already.

Instead take a look at this video of when AutoCar magazine tagged along with the Segrave Club when they went car shopping. The budget? £1.5 million to spend in 1 day on a Rolls Royce Phantom (£278k), Bentley Continental GTC (£150k), Lamborghini LP640 (£220k), Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera (£170k), Mercedes SLR (£330k), Aston Martin DB9 (£100k) and Aston Martin DBS (£170k). Lush!

You’re evidently into your motors …ever thought about publishing a dedicated (monetised) blog about them?

Or then again, maybe you do already!

Nice to see how the other half live.

Funny how spending over £100k in a showroom makes the staff bend over backwards for you.

I’ll mentione £100k when I upgrade my Yaris, see how they react.

John - indeed I do love my cars but there are so many excellent car blogs out there like Autoblog that I just couldn’t even begin to compete.

I say if you love it, just do it. You never know, you could become the Northeast’s answer to Jeremy Clarkson.

It seems like lots of money to us. But to people such as Bill Gates, it’s like playing Monopoly or Risk.
