When Purple Marketing contacted me a few weeks ago to ask if I'd review their 26 Week Internet Marketing Plan I thought sure, lets do it.
Then the other day a huge package arrived containing 4 DVD's, 8 Multimedia CD's and 4 workbooks (yes workbooks, what have I let myself in for?!?!). It also contained a T-Shirt, wall planner and 10 step quick start guide - I just couldn't squeeze them all in the photo.
So, this left me with the dilemma of how to review this product without actually doing any work. I don't mean that in a bad way, it just reminded me a bit of homework and I thought I had left that all behind years ago :)
I decided I would read through all the workbooks, and watch 1 DVD and listen to 1 CD. I figured that would be enough to give me a good feel for the product.
What is this course all about then? And who's it aimed at?
Well its aimed at marketing managers, business leaders, entrepreneurs and anybody who is looking to make an impact online and is serious about it. I say serious as the whole package costs £399.

So is it any good?
I have to say yes, the information provided is rock solid, well researched and laid out in a really clear way with practical examples thrown in along the way. There is no doubt in my mind that after absorbing all of the material provided with the course that any individual will have a good overall understanding of marketing online. It doesn't go into uneccessary detail, instead goes just deep enough to all aspects of the online world to ensure you have the tools you need to get a good site up with traffic from various sources.
What I especially like about it is that its not done in a cheesy "make millions online" type of way that we see from a lot of similar training programmes (especially ones from the USA). Likewise the tutors don't talk down to you, everything is explained in a real down to earth and very comprehensive way.
I think than anyone who is serious about making a living from the Internet will benefit from this training course. It's an ideal starting point for either an individual or an organistaion ready to  maximise their online activity.
So when does it launch and where do I get it from?
It launches on February 28th 2008 and is available here.
But in the meantime you can pre-register here and receive a free 61 page "4 Phases of Internet Marketing" report. Again, good reading and absolutely free.
Win a copy of the 26 Week Internet Marketing Plan for free worth £399!
However, I also have 1 copy of the full 26 Week Internet Marketing Plan to give away for free! This is the full set, worth £399. All you have to do to win is leave a comment on this post. Thats it. Closing date for entries is 26th February 2008, I will pick the winner soon after. Good luck!

What I'm listening to right now: Black Buddafly – "Flashing Lights"

Welcome to my blog. My name is Kieron Donoghue and I am the founder of ShareMyPlaylists.com, ContentNow.co.uk and some other stuff. I have no idea why I'm blue on this photo though but I like it!
Whilst I’m sure you’re right that this is an excellent pack, surely for the same time committment one could read several leading books on the subject and search a few of the leading forums to get the same info but for a lot less money?
The difficult thing for these guys is to convince potential customers that their version is credible. Getting you involved will certainly help but that assumes the potential customer is involved in affiliate marketing.
Having said that, if its got your endorsement I wish them well.
This might be really good for my parents to read so that they can understand the industry more and help me out (they’re very keen on the idea), and I’d rather have them working with me than taking on full-time staff, due to reasons of trust.
I’ve been looking for something like this for them to get their teeth into, seems quite appropriate!
Looks like an interesting set for a beginner.
Looks interesting.
Just a small correction, but I assume what you meant by “its done done in a cheesy “make millions online” type of way” was that “its NOT done in a cheesy “make millions online” type of way”. I would certainly be interested in a program that did the latter, not so much in former
Looks good to me; will be interesting to see if the information is worth the price.
Long time U.S. based reader here, still trying to get a grip on internet marketing, as in trying to learn to grip a greased eel.
The marketplace itself changes so quickly: get on myspace, no youtube, no PPC, no flickr, no now it’s twitter…
It’s hard to imagine a solid foundation that will be functional in such an environment in a single place such as this package. Months of research has brought me close to “getting it”, but I have my doubts about anyone selling the keys to the kingdom.
Thank you for your impressions.
Mike
I think it sounds really good and would love to have a read however I could never afford to spend £399 on any plan so here’s hoping I win!!
I find it really interesting in such a modern and fast paced digital age, this method of learning/delivering knowledge cannot be delivered electronically?
With everyone encouraged to reduce their carbon footprint, buy a Toyota prius, buy trees in Outer Mongolia and stop printing emails, there has to be a better way to sell, market and deliver this type of education.
This is not a negative post about the quality or benefit this package will provide, but cutting down a rain forest to do it? Perhaps it could be achieved much more environmentally friendly and cost efficient online and after all that’s what the web is, isn’t it, online?
“I have to say yes, the information provided is rock solid, well researched and laid out in a really clear way with practical examples thrown in along the way.” Pleased to hear. So many dodgy ‘get rich quick’ products out there and so refreshing to see one that is not like that.
from what you’ve said this looks like an interesting pack, but the price tag might put a few people off!
I have always been skeptical of this type of thing, but seem to be seeing more and more support from respected people (like you Kieron!). £399 may be too steep for me at the moment, but would happily win it to see if it is any good, and can help me get away from a ‘real’ job, to one that I will enjoy more!
Nice review, looks the most professional package on internet marketing I’ve seen. I’ve seen many internet marketing ebooks (that somehow have ended up on a public domain content website I visit) and none of them look like they’d fill the space of one of these books here, and are, like you say, mostly ‘get rich quick’ type books that don’t give any real new content to someone with any experience in this industry. This looks like it might be different, and if it wasn’t for the price tag I’d recommend it to a few friends.
Thanks for introducing this product. It looks very professional and educational. I would love to win this. Good luck to everyone!
Good to read that someone as knowledgeable as you Kieron, still sees this as a worthwhile package. Although priced relatively high, am sure by implementing the techniques, this outlay could be earnt back in no time. Look forward to giving it a shot, especially if I win a FREE copy
As someone already pointed out you can get all the basic information by reading forums and blogs. But if you want to save time and get all the info in one package – I guess this should do. Although I wouldn’t buy such product at such price I wouldn’t mind getting it for free
It could be just the thing to propel my internet marketing activities to Alan Sugar-like proportions…
Looks interesting, how are they going to keep it up to date though? after all the internet is the fastest developing medium around and books regarding the net often go out of date rather quickly.
Maybe having a members only area on the site would be better than physical books and dvds?
It’s good to see that there are some worthwhile internet marketing plans about. I’ve been looking for something like this to read over to compliment my learning on the job.
The only issue with buying such products is you don’t get to look over them first. It does seem daft if you think about it – you’re happily allowed to look through a £5 book but the more you spend the less you get to look!
I admit it, I’m commenting just to win.
It sounds like a pretty good program that has been well laid out. As someone with a fair amount of experience online, but yet to try affiliate marketing it would be quite interesting to test it out and see how I get on.
After checking my stats… I think its a wise move for me to comment on this post
Sounds a good package, but maybe a little pricy. I have to say though it does inspire confidence to see a well respected affiliate say its pretty good!
Thanks for the heads up.
Hi Kieron,
Right of the bat, what I like the most is the 26 week Internet marketing Plan, It is not like hey get my ebook and make million in like next 24 hrs.
Purple marketing is also investing in the info they are giving “4 DVD’s, 8 Multimedia CD’s and 4 workbooks”.
When Kieron you are recommending this package it has to be of tremendous value, it looks like there is lot of value in the package.
With different phases it seems like the reader will get the value as he gets more knowledge provided in the Package.
Lastly I can say Good Luck to me first and if not to the person who wins this awesome package.
Vijay
Looks like a nice course.
I like the idea of this, but it seems that it’s going to be another of those £399 now, then dropping down a couple of months later (for a limited period only naturally) then an internet only version…should be about the right price in 6 months time
looks good, i think its a good idea having a high price tag. People are more likely to read something properly if they have paid a lot of money for it.
Looks like a great resource – much prefer to spend my evenings reading and learning rather than watching the soaps!
surely for the same time committment one could read several leading books on the subject and search a few of the leading forums to get the same info but for a lot less money?
I assume the best market is those people who have money, but less time available. If you’re on a half decent salary, you could probably make more money by working in the time it would take you to hunt down the information online than you would spend on buying this already compiled version.
At this kind of price point, that’s the people I’d target this product at.
Well, It should be ‘Rock Solid’, if same found by you. 26 weeks period is a well organised time to learn all the basic and implement them as well as track the success of the same. So, I think this should be a good package for beginners and experts as well.
Hey I’m not an expert.so you can guess!![:)]

Am I allowed to enter?
If you are willing to ship it to the United States, then I am the perfect person to win!!!!
I am listening to Daughtry-Feels Like Tonight
Im always thinking why would anyone give you any of this information…? Even at a cost its better to keep it sacred and make money from it if its any good? Guess proof is in the pudding
Would really help me kick start, in the affiliate game.
Count me in! I need all the help I can get. Thanks for the review and the opportunity.
Just adding my name to the list, will give it a damn good go if i won
Looks like a great course, I’ve been looking to to something like so would love a chance to win it. I’ll be keeping an eye on the course and any future courses they release.
Ta,
Phil
These types of work books have been around for a while and they have always given the bare basics in terms of what required to be successful. This one sounds like it does what it says on the tin. Great resource library as well.
I love your blog Kieron but it feels like your blog is jumping the shark pimping these types of products. Not dissimilar to the what has been happening with the Shoemoney blog, which is now next to worthless as far as real content goes these days.
I think these posts tarnish the integrity of an otherwise excellent resource for the industry at large.
400 quid for a package that for the most part you can find online for free is quite amazing. Thankfully they appear to be smart enough not to price it 397 or 297 or scarcity market to people by limiting the number of copies available for sale, only 50 copies left blah blah blah blah blah.
Looks like a good package with interesting content. It seems to have a good mix of presentation types offering a good self-paced learing course.
Look forward to hearing how the eventual winner finds the course upon completion.
MarkM – Sorry that you feel that way about my blog. Its worth mentioning that I get absolutely loads of emails daily ofering me free stuff and free access to paid sites so that I can review them. It would be very easy to take money for paid reviews too, but I won’t do that either. I turn down about 90% as I don’t think they are up to scratch and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. I have always said that I will only ever write about and recommend stuff that I believe in, in this blog and that still stands.
here’s hoping…
Hi Kieron,
You always have an entertaining blog, just recently though too many car picks, however lots of other good stuff to read and think about.
I’ve just downloaded the free pack and will go through it later today.
Cheers
Fingers and toes crossed =)

Awesome, good to see a fair unbiased review. Looks a great set, would love to have it on my desk to thumb through. I have already started Internet Marketing and I’ve picked up a lot from this and other sites in my first 3 months. I’m sure theres loads more to learn though. Good to see a definite complete set on the topic
I totally agree about the majority of US courses being heavy on the ‘make a million’ style, very off putting. Would be very refreshing to review.
