One quick and simple rule if working with overseas affiliates….
…check the time difference.
That way, say for example that you are an affiliate network based in the USA - you won’t call up an affiliate based in Sunderland, England at 1am and wake him up wanting to talk business.
Here’s a link that may help.

Welcome to my blog. My name is Kieron Donoghue and I run UK Offer Media Ltd. I thought it would be fun to post a daily (well hopefully daily) blog, writing about my experiences in Internet Marketing and more specifically Affiliate Marketing. I'll include some personal stuff too, probably about my other passions, music and cars. Please feel free to post your comments and thoughts too.

I’ve joined only 3 US & Candain based affiliate companies and all 3 without fail have rang bewteen 10pm & 12 midnight.
Then there is the other problem of emailing you to say that you’ve left the wrong tel number. Err..your an international company (so you claim), but don’t know how to add international codes to UK numbers? As always I’ll be polite when they do ring though.

If a UK merchant/network/agency rings me at 1pm I am equally annoyed. Please stop ringing me to tell me you’ve modified a data feed or you’ve got a new merchant. I really don’t care and my boss won’t be impressed!
