Eric Benet is back! new track “You’re the Only One”
Eric Benet’s 1999 album “A Day In The Life” is one of my favourite R&B albums ever, ever! Almost 10 years on it still sounds contemporary and relevant.
So imagine my delight when I heard that Eric is coming back with a new track “You’re the Only One” and a new album “Love and Life” due around September! Not only that but “You’re the Only One” is an instant classic, to my mind anyway. It’s bang up to date in terms of production and it’s overall sound but as soon as you hear it, it’s like you’ve heard it somewhere before - like I say instant classic.
I can’t stress how great it is to have some new music from Eric, artists of his style and class are few and far between. Pure, pure soul.

You brought back some great memories with this one! I may have to go and dig out that CD.
Are you familiar with Christopher Williams? (He played the crooked banker in New Jack City.) He came out with this back in 1995:

Eric never disappoints…Pure quality from this truly gifted artist…I have always loved his music, and “You’re The Only One” is classic! I pray Eric brings us many more years of exceptional masterpieces.

You’re the only one is the sweetest song ever!! EB came out with one of his best albums this year!! AMAZING!
