Well done to Commission Junction UKÂ who have recently launched a blog showing the latest offers and news from their UK merchants. It's still in Beta and looks like it needs a little bit of work to bring it up to scratch but it's a start.
One of the reasons why I voted for Webgains in the A4U Awards this year is due to their excellent blog. It's still the only UK affiliate network blog that is updated regularly with offers, promotions, news and discount from their merchants. It's utterly fantastic and the reason why I promote loads of Webgains merchants.
Hats off to DGM who have recently changed the format of their blog too, to display merchant offers etc.
Let's hope that both CJ and DGM can match Webgains in terms of the quality of their blog entries, their use to affiliates and frequency of posting. I'm still amazed that more networks don't use blogs to communicate hot deals and news etc. to us affiliates. The ones who do, are marching ahead of the other networks IMHO.

what i’m listening to

CJ have had a blog for over a year, this is the same one I think? I have not looked at it for a while so hopefully they are updating it more often.
Awin also have a blog, although I dont think they show offers.
I have not subscribed to the DGM one, so I might do that now.
That said, I still find the webgains one the best with regular updates and good cats like discount codes etc.
I love good RSS feeds I have them in my google reader so can read them on my mobile. So even when away from the officer i can be up to date and plan my next blog posts etc.
So networks and merchants get a blog, make categorys for offers, codes, hot products, and keep it up to date.
The work will result it better promotion from your affiliatss!
I don’t know why more networks don’t use blogs either. Blogging is such a quick way to inform people of changes in a company or new products as far as CJ is concerned. Rather than reading a full blown article or having to check back with the company to know about the changes, blogs actually keep people interested without boring them to tears or overwhelming them.
i like cj.com because their colourful banners add a little glam to my blog sidebar: it feels like top companies in the world want to advertise on my humble marketing blog!
And that is always going to be good for the ego!
Any affiliate company bringing out a blog is going the right direction: it is invaluable to keep in touch with the latest trends.
