how do you produce a minus ROI? A negative ROI is a decimal: 0.25 etc, always a positive number >= 0. Based on his stats, his overall ROI is 0.74 – or does he need a “-” symbol to understand that he’s actually in the red? dear dear…

It seems strange that “across the pond”, affiliates are heralded for only losing a quarter of their money, whilst in the UK it’s rare that anyone will bother with PPC campaigns unless they’re seeing at least 100% ROI – Perhaps it’s the different mindset- For those making money it’s all about the ROI. And for those that aren’t, it’s all about traffic levels or number of sales, or some other factor that tells them they’re doing well.

Yeah, “The Antidote” is still my favorite Ronny Jordan album. He’ll be here in the states (Akron, OH) early August. I’ll be making the 2 hr drive to go see him.

Kieron, you are clearly an expert! So I offer this opinion in a general sense….

If Billionaire Tom Monahan had quit after two bankruptcy’s and nearly 19 years of failures, he never would have built Dominos Pizza into a multi billion int’l corp. His brother quit the biz and told him to give up. Tom hung in and became a billionaire while his brother worked over 30 yrs as a postal worker & school janitor.

Many stories of people struggling for years before having their breakthrough. How is internet marketing any different? Just because someone is struggling today doesn’t mean they can’t achieve their goals, right?

Anyway, just my view on the issue.

Tim – he should quit PPC altogether. As for the example he’s leading – well all he’s doing is showing that anybody can throw money down the toilet. Not the best example I’ve ever seen!!

BTW Ronny Jordan, that brings back memories. I loved “So What” and “Get To Grips”. Classic!

Are you saying he should give up and move on to a new PPC campaign, or give up on PPC altogether?

I will say this, at least he’s honest. There are many who would not have posted that info so they could maintain a certain image. I also respect his tenacity.

If this is part of a contest, Tyler is doing the right thing by finishing it. What kind of example would he be if he threw in the towel before the end of the contest because he’s struggling?
