Affiliate Marketing events this year

There is loads of stuff going on this Summer/Autumn in terms of networking events. Something for everyone, culminating with the A4U Expo in October. Here’s a list of what’s on, when:

Wednesday July 2nd - Informal Pub Meet at the Fence in Farringdon, London.

This event has been organised by pretty much all of the major networks and is a throwback to the days when a gettogether was 10 of us in a pub. There will be a free bar and BBQ. Places are filling up really fast. Email to confirm your attendance. More details here.

Wednesday 16th July - A4U Expo Roadshow, King Street, Bristol.

The a4uexpo roadshows are basic to basics intense networking, with no free bar. On arrival, you will be provided with a name badge and the networking will begin. More details here.

Monday 21st July - dgmAffiliates BBQ on the Lock, Dukes 92 Manchester.

dgm are holding a “drinks and bbq” event in sunny Manchester, well done guys. More details here.

Wednesday 13th August - A4U Expo Roadshow, Zinc Bar Glasgow.

As above. More details here.

Wednesday 10th September - A4U Expo Roadshow, Vodka Revolution Manchester.

As above. More details here.

Then, the biggest event of the year….

October 14th to 15th - A4U Expo. Docklands London.

This is the MAIN event in the affiliate networking calendar of the year. If you only attend one event this year then make it this one. 2 days of networking, exhibitions, seminars, speaker panels, presentations, parties and good times! If you register before June 30th you can also save £100. Yes that means you only pay £199 and not £299. So what are you waiting for? Here’s some of the highlights:

A session on ‘Wordpress SEO’ by Joost De Valk, on how to optimise your blog successfully for the search engines, the small changes that can make a huge difference to your ROI.

A session on internal and external linking structures, essential for successful SEO.

‘Extreme SEO 2′ where there will be an extended Q&A and site clinic with internationally renowned search experts who’ll cover both white, grey and black hat strategies for your website - The audience will also be able to submit their sites to be critiqued by the panel.

“Meet the Super Affiliates” panel. I was on this last year and will be again this year. There was standing room only last year so hopefully it will be a popular session once again.

Access to pre-event networking party including food and drink

A place on the Thames river cruise during the second evening (subject to booking and availability) includes food and drink

Access to after event party including food and drink

Access to all conference sessions over two full days

Excellent post Kieron! How do you think UK shows relate to US Shows ? The last Ad:Tech london was very catered to the UK, where Affiliate Summit London was not and it was actually filled with a huge number of people from the Netherlands.

I feel that UK shows are also very useful for the US, because the information is usually very universal, and for U.S. affiliates the U.K. can be a great way to expand your business.

Ofcourse it goes the same, the other way around.

I’ve assembled a list of all the shows we think are worth visiting for the next year here: http://www.affiliatesupportteam.com/blog/2008/06/the-best-affiliate-marketing-shows/

And we actually just got back from the Ad:Tech Miami show, where we did an extensive video on here: http://www.affiliatesupportteam.com/blog/2008/06/ad-tech-miami-2008/ (Sorry for the self promo :) I’m just really proud of what we did :P )

I’m looking forward to the Dukes92 meetup - I can see the place from my office window so it’s quite handy :)
