The LG KS360 is a cool looking slider phone with a full Qwerty keyboard as well as a touch screen. The phone is aimed at the youth market and is priced as such, you can buy it from Orange for only £59.99.
I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality and the feel of this phone. It's solid but not too weighty and the spring loaded sliding keyboard is robust and smooth. The full Qwerty keyboard takes a little bit of getting used to but once you do its very easy to use and writing texts becomes so much easier. It only weighs 108g too.
The buttons on the keyboard are clearly labelled, spaced just about the right space apart for ease of use and backlit. Clever integration of a lockable FN key means that numbers are easily accessed too and there are 4-way arrow keys which make navigation simple.
One of the best things about this phone is the large screen size (2.4 inch, 240 x 320) which is utilised to good effect by the menu and navigation using large text and a very logical and simple layout. The screen can also be viewed in portrait mode and landscape mode, and rotates when you turn the phone over, very clever. When the keypad is closed the screen can operate in touch-screen mode so there is no need to open the keyboard out to make a call, another neat feature.
The phone comes with MSN Messenger installed as standard as well as an email client so you can access Gmail, Hotmail etc. It's obvious that the phone is aimed at the younger "Facebook" generation where keeping in touch by all and any means necessary is vital.
Other features include a very good 2MP camera, bluetooth, FM radio, GPRS, music playback and a microSD slot so you can boost the inbuilt 15MB memory.
This is a neat, good looking phone that will appeal to users who want a bit of extra functionality over a standar mobile phone but not necessarily all the features (and expense) of a smart phone. LG have clearly put a lot of thought into it and the result is an excellent low priced mobile that makes keeping in touch with your friends via a variety of methods, very simple.
The LG KS360 is available in either pink or blue.

Welcome to my blog. My name is Kieron Donoghue and I am the founder of ShareMyPlaylists.com, ContentNow.co.uk and some other stuff. I have no idea why I'm blue on this photo though but I like it!
Not like you to do phone reviews – must admit that they’ve thought this through for the particular target market. Would be a good option for teenagers on a PAYG basis but I wonder how much the MSN ‘calls’ will cost.
Gadget – not really mate, I’m a big mobile phone geek, see http://www.here.org.uk/2008/04/nokia-8800-arte-mobile-phone-review.html, http://www.here.org.uk/2007/11/apple-iphone-review.html and http://www.here.org.uk/2007/11/apple-iphone-or-nokia-n95-which-is-best.html.
I just need Nokia to send me a 8800 Carbon Arte for my next review! http://www.nokia.co.uk/link?cid=PLAIN_TEXT_1095472
I had a HTC phone from Orange (SPV M3100) with a similar design. The screen repeatedly died after a few months of use from the sliding motion. Over the period of 18 months I think I had three despite asking for a different phone because of the design flaw.
Hope this one doesn’t suffer from it too!
Looks like a typical noddy phone, but with a slide out QWERTY keypad… I’m looking for a GPS + WLan phone… decisions decisions…
You will have so many bloody gadgets soon you will get confused:) All free too:)

this seems like a really good phone. my mum asked me if i wanted it 4 xmas so thats when i started looking is up and so far so good. i saw some other reviews and they said:
looks: 3.5/5
ease of use: 3.5/5
features: 3/5
call quality: 4/5
value: 4/5
This phone looks similar to the new T-Mobile G1 by google by the way. it would be a good xmas present, as long as its cheap.

I bought this phone in pink. I originally had a Nokia 6500slide but loved the fact that the 360 has a QWERTY keyboard and it looked like the T Mobile sidekick which i really wanted but couldnt get.
Anyway, I really dont get on with this phone. I love facebook, msn and all that, but this phone was really hard to set up hotmail msn on. The internet drained my credit. The camera is AWFUL. It is only 2 mega pixel so quality is poor. You cannot rotate photos nor can you view them without connecting to the internet…Im sure this can be changed but my phone wont let me. The screen rotates when the keyboard is opened which is cool but if you open/close it too quickly it cant cope and crashes.
You can touch type to call but thats all the touch typing is used for. Pointless really.
Too many buttons for my liking. When the keyboard is opened you swap buttons. Makes it confusing. Its more of a gimmicky phone. I would go for blackberry or iphone if you want internet or the t mobile g1 is a very much improved version of this phone.
Is This phone touch screen? I just bought one of ebay, still waiting for it, and does anyone know if I can use my 3 sim card in it if the phone is unlocked?
you may have to get it unlocked, more than likely will. Not sure if its touchscreen tho
I have this phone, but the only thing that annoys me about it is if you get a text whilst you’re sending one, the phone turns itself off. and sometimes, when you phone someone, you don’t hear anything until the call has been connected to the other person for 15 seconds or so.
Just thought I’d add to this: I bought this phone in November (9 months ago) and it’s been going wrong for the past 3!
Becca noted in March that the phone turns itself off while texting/recieving text. My phone turns itself off frequently – like it’s just died – and as a result things like the Alarm clock become automatically disabled too! I’ve noticed that a lot of pressure (okay maybe not A LOT, but say in your pocket for example) will switch the phone off.
I have given up on this phone as I’ve made 2 emergency calls to police/ambulence and NEITHER went through. One, again as Becca noted, clonked out as soon as it connected. Some calls also don’t go through on this phone – Considering I keep my phone on me for family emergencies/accidents, this makes the phone useless.
I’ve only owned two previous phones. When they were on their very last legs (getting 2 years out of a phone is good going in my opinion) they worked far better than this phone. I am very disappointed that I got about 6 months of half decent use out of this one.
The guy at the store suggested an LG Cookie instead but to be completely honest, I’m avoiding LG products. Make my next phone a Motorola or a Nokia.
I had a problem with my lg ks360 when i browse it just responses “host not found” this is eybeled in baidoa somalia.
