Nice one Nominet!
I sold a .uk domain name for the first time in a while last week and I was very pleasantly surprised at how easy Nominet have now made it to transfer domains away. In the “old” days you had to complete a paper transfer form and write a covering letter and send a cheque in order to initiate a transfer, it could take up to 4 weeks. Bad Lashes get through to the next stage of X Factor – supporting North East talent
Well done to fellow North Easterners, girl group “Bad Lashes” for getting through to Boot Camp on last night’s X Factor. From what I hear they are doing well even though Louis Walsh is the “groups” mentor again this year and he described them as “four hairdressers trying to be a girl band” during the audition. Profiteering from the collapse of XL? Or shrewd marketing?
Within hours of the news that the UK’s third largest package holiday group XL, went into administration yesterday, the above sponsored ads on Google started appearing. As well as the top 3 ads featured above there were further ads from the likes of Fly BMI, British Airways, Travel Republic and a fair few other online travel agents. So is it in bad taste?
