It brings back memories of loud discos, smokey rooms and looking at the world from behind an inch of eyeliner and mascara. I never went goth or rock as my musical tastes were too varied and When Doves Cry is one of those songs that transcends genres, time and space. Put this record on, close your eyes and enjoy this all time classic. It’s got to be ‘When Doves Cry’ as this is one of those songs that instantly time travels me back to my youth!
