I enjoyed Top Gear this week, it's totally true people are getting dull with their choices but one of the reasons is that alternate colours are becom, ing increasingly stupid, hyper metallic burnt orange and pearl-mint are not very nice alternatives!

I have to disagree about the coffee Revels though, toffee and chocolate all the way!

Stuff ... sometimes 'stuff' can be just the right word ... a bunch of stuff. But sometimes it's the user being lazy - shades of Orwell's 'newspeak' there, unused words fall out of the vocabulary, and the less words that are available the less we can say.

The translation for 'stuff/thingy/wotsit' is useful to know when learning a foreign language though, it can very useful when you don't know the real word to use, and makes you sound like a local too. (In french it's 'truc', pronounced 'trook'.

I must be feeling linguistically philosophical today!
