The guys over at Econsultancy asked me to take part in an interview this week, you can
read it here.
I talked about how I have seen Affiliate Marketing change over the last 8 or 9 years or so, if there are still opportunities for new affiliates and are the "salad days" over?
I hope you enjoy reading it and thanks to Linus for setting it up.
What I'm listening to right now: Ne-Yo - "
She Got Her Own". P.S. that's a
Spotify link.
Saw this in the newsletter, really enjoyed it. Frank and well thought out answers.
I’ve read the interview, it’s really insightful for new and experienced affiliates as well.
Affiliate marketing touches the tower of success, but can’t say about the “salad days” in this recession period.
Nice interview.
With regards to your comments about the “super affiliates” extending their interests into agency services/consultancy: I find it interesting that this trend is happening all over the web with various “niche” marketing specialists. You have SEO specialists getting into SEM/affiliate/content; SEM agencies adding SEO services; affiliates into SEM/SEO; etc.
This trend seems to echo the relative maturity of internet marketing in general (well, compared with 5-10 years ago, anyhow
) It’s not that there isn’t still room for much innovation and things are still fast-paced, but all these once-disparate niches (affiliate, SEM, SEO, etc) have been merging into one cohesive industry, with the standards and common jargon that go along with it. I guess that’s why more and more of us can make a proper living even in the face of recession…
nice interview I’m proud that I’m here , my marketing experience raise everyday here .
