To Merryn Smith If it wasn’t for ads like this which have helped make Virgin the success it is then many of the existing staff of Virgin would not have jobs with the airline anyway. I hope that since writing your original comments in 2009 you have left behind your bigoted views and have started to enjoy life.

John, firstly the word you’re looking for, is a ‘farce’ not a ‘fast;’ secondly, no-one (except you, apparently) is under any false impressions that the girls in the ad actually work for Virgin, naturally they’re going to be actors; thirdly, the ad is set in the 80′s, when that probably was the uniform – you know it’s like in a film, set in say, 1940′s, when everyone’s dressed in the style of the time…….? You don’t complain then, do you? Fourth, well yes the ad is clearly a publicity stunt – THAT’S THE POINT – and it does it incredibly effectively, wouldn’t you say?

With that off my chest, what an awesome advert; funny, sexy, exciting – the music is absolutely perfect for it – love it! I think enough people have already slated mr merryn smith without me adding my 2 pennies worth; sexist?! Fed up with cynical people trying taking the fun out of these things, it’s just a bit of fun! As always, the people who should apparently be offended, couldn’t give a sh*t. And now there’s a new ad (which will probably attract similiarly negative remarks), which is even better! Good on Virgin! Flying with them in two weeks, can’t wait!

the advert is a fast they dont work for virgin atlantic they are all actors , the staff dont wear red shoes nor the uniform shown on advert its all publicity stunt

The advert is absolutely amazing just love the model on the right as you look at all the girls marching thru the airport, any idea what her name is does she have a website?
