Over the last year UK interest in e-books has grown significantly, with searches for ‘ebooks’ doubling between January 2008 and 2009

Good call on this one Kieron. Have you noticed any increase in traffic to sites you made about the Sony eBook reader?
It’s hard to make any real judgment as the Sony Reader was only released a few months back but like you say Kieron, searches have increased, which is certainly leading to more traffic. As for the rewards, I think the end of the year will be far more interesting!

I was considering launching a site based on the Sony Reader and doing some research, then the very next day you posted the article. This convinced me to go ahead with it and it made a tidy profit over Christmas and is still logs a few sales per day now.
If we ever meet up I owe you a beer!!
Dave – that’s fantastic news, am well chuffed. I’ll be at Think Visibility in Leeds in March or the A4U Expo in London in October. Either will be good for that beer!
I too was inspired by the original blog post and put a couple of reviews up myself. I also put a site up but haven’t used it much due to the volume of US sites I found you had to compete with in the SERPS. Might have another look now though. Thanks Kieron.
Ye I’ve seen an increase in traffic to my ebook reader site, just havent the time to update it lol
I think sales of the ebook will jump again in the next couple of months, due to the release of the Kindle 2, state side, due to it’s unavialability in the UK people will be looking for the next best thing, this is where sony will cash in!
