ShareMyPlaylists.com now live! Share your Spotify playlists with the world
I’m delighted to announce that ShareMyPlaylists.com is now live and open for business!
The site is a free resource for Spotify users to upload, share and discover playlists from all genres of music. Spotify playlists are compilations of tracks that users can lovingly put together just like the “mixtapes” of yesteryear. Anything goes, any style, any niche, any artist. The playlists could comprise music from a certain year that holds fond memories, maybe a collection of the latest R&B songs, or perhaps the user is a huge fan of Sinatra, Debussy, Madonna or Bloc Party and has compiled the definitive collection for that artist.
I need you help
The site will only be a success if Spotify users visit it and upload their playlists for everybody to enjoy. So, if you are a Spotify user please visit today and upload your playlist. You don’t need to register, the service is 100% free and very easy to use.
If you own a blog of any kind, or belong to forums, newsgroups or any websites that are technology or music related I would really appreciate it if you could spread the word and let the world know about the service. My vision is for ShareMyPlaylists.com to become one of the biggest Spotify user communities in the UK. If you can help in any way, it would be very much appreciated
Please let me know your thoughts about the site too. Tell me what you like, what you don’t like and what features you would like to see in the future. All feedback is very much welcome. Thankyou!

Welcome to my blog. My name is Kieron Donoghue and I am the founder of ShareMyPlaylists.com, ContentNow.co.uk and some other businesses. I thought it would be fun to blog, writing about my experiences in Internet Marketing. I'll include some personal stuff too, probably about my other passions, music and cars. Please feel free to post your comments and thoughts too.

Nice looking site mate, will get my own play list up at some point and try and geta few mates doing the same!
Thanks mate, still looking out for your playlist tho
Nice looking site - although where’s my fantastic mix of Welsh music link man! ;o)
Great site Kieron
Glad to see my playlist is the only one with 1 disc!
I’ve always had an unpopular taste in music…
Looks great Kieron, nice design too. Digging the fact it’s wordpress run too! Thanks for including my playlist
Yeah, you know me a big WordPress fan, it was the only way to go.
Music isn’t my thing, but I have to say the design is good. Nice and clear, easy to navigate and easy on the eye.
Great looking site, might have to get my playlist up on there!
As for getting the word out I would recommend getting in touch with Mike Butcher at Techcrunch UK (uk.techcrunch.com). Mike runs the UK/European arm of the Techcrunch blog, one of the top tech blogs around. And they love Spotify!
P.
Thanks Paul. We did try Mike, but don’t think it’s his bag. Never mind.
Hi Kieron, Site looks good but then again Keith always does a good job for you. I’ve no idea what Spotify is but if you want to write an article for my Free Tickets site I’d be happy to publish it for you. There’s almost 10,000 subscribers now so you’d get a good distribution too.
Kieron, the site’s good, but your “play now” links from the playlists don’t seem to be working…
Ian - they work for me and we haven’t had any other reports that they don’t work. Do you have Spotify open?
Looks really awesome Kieron; love it! Bookmarked it, hopefully there will be some decent playlists there to help me through my studies. Maybe I should make a playlist to submit….
Yes you should! Look forward to seeing it.
Good idea and nice looking design. It has been a while since I launched a startup. My be I should think of something too. Hmmm…
I think it’s really a good idea. Your website is good and your design also.
Nice and clear ! great
Continue is good!
Kieron - working now, must have been a one off!
Hey Kieron! Nice site you have there!
I think I had better get working on a play list of my own!
Look forward to it Jo, just hope it isn’t too cheesy
Huge fan of Spotify. Use it at work all day long. This website looks awesome, however, can I make a request? Can you include the tracklisting of the playlist below each playlist, like you would get in a CD or something like that? Obviously it’s very easy to load up the Spotify playlist, but would be useful to see the artists/songs in each playlist prior to loading them up if possible. Thanks for the very useful site.
Hi Matt. I agree that would be ideal, however Spotify does not let you do this - at the moment at least. So we rely on users submitting the tracklstings themselves in the “description” field. We always try and encourage users to do this as it makes the site easier to search.
i have been editing the posts on my site and adding the playlists tracks. to do this select all the tracks in your playlists and drag them into microsoft word, then from word drag them to notepad then copy and paste it into your post.
on a mac do the same in textpad and then change go to Format and make plain text then paste into post.
hope this makes sense and helps
Cheers Trevor, good advice. I’ve done it for some of mine and just need to convince all users to do it now
Great looking.. Surely upload my playlist there.
Did you hear about this Kieron?

Andy - yes Spotify emailed all their users who could be affected earlier this week. They also posted about it in their blog and it has been covered by numerous news/tech sites. I think they handled it really well.
Music really moves our world, and the added bonus of a WordPress based service is cool too! Definitely worth a gander, thanks for sharing, this will help to get the word out, indeed!
Just sent you an URGENT email.
