This almost passed me by, last week saw a pretty big announcement in the online gaming sector. PartyGaming acquired Cashcade for £71.9m in cash with up to a further £24m payable dependent on future profit performance. So just to be clear that’s almost £96m, a fair chunk of change by anybody’s standards. It’s only been 4 and a half months since I launched ShareMyPlaylists.com but today sees the launch of version 2 of the Spotify community site. To be honest the site has taken off beyond my wildest dreams. It’s gone from a standing start to generating between 8,000 and 10,000 visitors a day today, all grown organically.
