Congrats on getting into Google News Wardy, unfortunately for me it is likely too daunting of a task for me to get onto Google News, hehe.

This is some good advice. I’m going to have to try this on my own site to see if I can get it in Google News. It seems like that would bring in a good bit of traffic, as you said.

Just a quick follow up to this, I’ve had one site I’ve been trying for years to get into Google news with no luck…until today!
I’ve made sure that all news articles for the past few weeks have been over 300 words as you hinted at here Kieron (they usually ranged from between 150-300 words) and low and behold today I get the email saying the site is to be included!

Those are some great tips for getting featured in Google News. Also be sure to do your keyword research & use your release not only for traffic & publicity but to build your backlinks too.
