10 reasons why Think Visibility rocks

Think Visibility 2011

It's that time of year again, the awesome Think Visibility conference is happening in Leeds on March 5th. Here's 10 reasonswhy you should go: 1. It's not a stuffy conference where you will find agency types wearing dodgy suits and trawling round to see how they can "help" you gain traffic/leads/email subscribers etc. In fact there will be nobody there in a suit, if there is feel free to point and laugh at them. Likewise it's not an "un-conference" like BarCamp for example where there is no organistaion and you just turn up and talk about things that nobody but you knows or cares about. No, Think Visibility sits somewhere in the middle. It's the cool kid of conferences and The Hodge (that's his real name) makes sure that his character, wit and charm are felt throughout the conference. 2. It's on a Saturday! So no excuses that you have to work and you have Sunday off to recover from the inevitable hangover. Brilliant! 3. It's in Leeds!! Yes an awesome conference that takes place outside of London, they do exist. Very reassuring to see that some London people are actually venturing out of the capital to attend to, make sure you bring your passports. 4. My good friend Paul is speaking. Paul is also known as @Twitchhiker on Twitter and in 2009 he hitch-hiked around the world for charity using only Twitter and the kindness of others. Then he went and wrote a book about it! Paul is a cool guy and very engaging, do not miss his talk. 5. Lots of other cool people are speaking too! I won't list them all here as some haven't paid me there isn't room, but you can get SEO goodness from the likes of Dave Naylor and Dixon Jones. Conversion rate goodness from Stephen Pavlovich, dodgy stuff (probably) from Paul Madden and of course Panda's from Annabel Hodges. 6. It's only £125 to attend. Not £400 like other less interesting conferences. 7. Parties. There is a pre-party the night before and a party on the night of the conference. Then there is the after party...if you're lucky enough to get an invite ;) 8. The Mint Hotel (formerly City Inn) is cheap. It's the hotel where most people stay, is very reasonable, has Macs in every room (for the geeks among you) and has an awesome cocktail bar called the Skylounge with some very lush cocktails available. We always end up there at some point on the Saturday night. 9. It's in a casino. Yes a conference held on a Saturday, in a casino with alcohol and gambling. Genius. 10. I'll be there. Surely there is no better reason to attend? :) What are you waiting for? Get it booked as tickets really are limited. The whole idea is that it's not too corporate with hundreds & hundreds of attendeed so Dom keeps the numbers low. Every year there's people that leave it too late and tickets sell out before they have a chance to buy one. Don't let that person be you! What I'm listening to right now: Acid Jazz Hispano February
