Bad Lashes get through to the next stage of X Factor – supporting North East talent
Well done to fellow North Easterners, girl group “Bad Lashes” for getting through to Boot Camp on last night’s X Factor. From what I hear they are doing well even though Louis Walsh is the “groups” mentor again this year and he described them as “four hairdressers trying to be a girl band” during the audition. I’m sure the girls will prove him wrong What I’m listening to right now: Amy Winehouse – “Tears Dry On Their Own”

Prince was just awesome at Coachella
Regular readers will know that I am a huge Prince fan. It would seem that the LA Times is too, given their review of his appearance at Coachella the other week in the US. The musician’s dazzling performance Saturday night uses hits, guest stars and killer covers to cement his status as perhaps the top live act around. Eric Benet’s 1999 album “A Day In The Life” is one of my favourite R&B albums ever, ever! Almost 10 years on it still sounds contemporary and relevant. Will.i.am featuring Cheryl Cole?! Heartbreaker
Will.i.am has to be one of my favourite artists in recent years. I love the Black Eyed Peas and I love pretty much every record that he has produced/featured on with other artists too.
